Join the City of Longmont Sustainability Program in creating a sustainable Cinco de Mayo! The Longmont Sustainability Plan, adopted in 2016, is a roadmap to achieve the vision of becoming an engaged community that promotes environmental stewardship, economic vitality, and social equity to create a sustainable and thriving future for all. In short, sustainable solutions help create healthy people and a healthy economy on a healthy planet. We are excited that for years, Longmont Cinco de Mayo has strived to be a zero waste event. Help do your part by:

  • Bringing a refillable water bottle. Water stations will be available.

  • Know where to throw your waste! Whether it is recycling, compost, or trash. Look for Eco-Cycle volunteers at the event to help figure out which bin to use or visit our Waste Services Website for more information.

Want to participate?! Visit the Sustainability Tent at Cinco de Mayo.

At the Sustainability Tent, you also have the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about programs, seminars, tips and rebates available to Longmont residents.

  • Stay up to date with sustainability projects.

  • Sign-up for volunteer opportunities in the Sustainability Program.

  • And so much more!
